Under compact mode, Total Screen Recorder will hide Menubar, Summary Window and Status Bar, only Toolbar will be kept.
Why switch to compact mode?
In compact mode, Total Screen Recorder can keep it topmost of the screen, so you can start/stop recording easily.
How to switch to compact mode?
Select "View > Compact Mode" from menu bar.
How to return to full mode?
Click the "Switch to Full Mode" button 
will return to full mode.
